PRIVATE BLOG TIME

Hi all - I've decided to make my blog private. Please email me @ jmtth143@cox.net with your email address or just post a comment here if you would like to be added. I'm planning to switch over to a private blog next Saturday 12/8/07. Hope everyone is doing good!

Hill Family Update.....

A lot has happened in our lives the past few months - crazy things, but also very good things! I just wanted to give an update on what's going on with each of us lately!

BENTLEY - We took the girls to the doctor on Monday for their shots (Bentley's 2 month shots & Taylor's 2 year shots) Yes, Bentley is already 2 months old! CRAZY! She currently weighs 10 lbs. 4 oz & is 24 inches long. That puts her in the 25% - 50% for her weight and 95% for her height! Just like Taylor was when she was that age. I guess our girls are going to get their height from their daddy, which is a good thing!

FAVORITE THING: One of my favorite things about Bentley is her smiling & cooing at us a ton these past few weeks! It is SO cute! I love that she knows who I am - I can tell that she recognizes my voice and even when it's me holding her, that's a pretty special feeling!

INTERESTING FACT: She has the most beautiful & alert eyes, but they are actually different colors. One is blue & the other is brown. It's pretty interesting!

TAYLOR - After taking Taylor to the doctor, she weighs 26 lbs and is 36 inches long. She's about the same percentile as Bentley is, but for her age group. We have tall children so far! Taylor is a fun little girl! We definitely laugh every day! She is talking a ton - most of it doesn't make sense, but she seems to think that it does, because her eye contact when she is talking to you is so intense! We love her so much!

FAVORITE THING: My favorite thing about Taylor right now is her sweet little voice! I wake up in the morning to her singing a little song downstairs in her room. It makes me smile & want to get out of bed (except when she is doing that at 6:00 in the morning)

INTERESTING FACT: For the past month or so, Taylor's favorite movie has been Transformers. No joke - this kid can find it anywhere on the shelf and ask us to watch it! It's such a good movie, but I never thought she would like it so much! I even tried hiding it from her, but she ended up finding it & we had to watch it. Her new favorite movie since Wednesday is The Polar Express (which is actually playing at this exact moment) , but we will see how long that will last.

MEGAN - Not too much is new with me. I'm just a busy mom that loves her girls! Basically my family is my life! I am taking more initiative with learning to cook. I want to be able to cook as many good meals for my family as I possibly can! So far I think I'm at like 2 or 3 so I have a long ways to go!

FAVORITE THING: I guess my favorite thing about myself right now is how much I have learned lately. I feel like I can handle more and take more on in my life. It definitely makes sense when they say that trials are blessings hidden in disguise!

INTERESTING FACT: I don't really have one for me - I just wanted to tell things about the girls so I will remember what they were doing at this time. I guess that is something interesting about me - I have to write EVERYTHING down or else I forget. I have a terrible memory!

JORDAN - He is doing great! But really how else can Jordan be? He is the most positive person I have met in my entire life! His foot is continuing to heal and he only has a week & a 1/2 more of having an I.V. to take his medicine. That's pretty exciting! It will be so nice to have him back to normal again.

FAVORITE THING: I don't really have just one favorite thing about Jordan right now, I just love everything about him! He is a pretty amazing guy!

INTERESTING FACT: He cooks us dinner almost every night (like 6 out of the 7 nights). This is yet another reason why I really want to learn to cook!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL! We truly have so much to be thankful for! This year we went out to Joe & Natalie's (my aunt and uncle) for Thanksgiving dinner and it was nothing less than delicious! It's always fun being able to eat tons of great food and be with your family at the same time! I was very grateful to have my parents and sister and in-laws there with us! They made it that much more special!

Taylor's first black eye - she got it by jumping on our bed and hitting her head on the foot board! Ouch!

Bentley resting peacefully - We LOVE those times!

Taylor helping me get organized at my desk!

Spider Taylor - Jordan likes to play this game with Taylor called "Spider Taylor" where he sticks her on the ceiling and sings the Spiderman song to her. For those of you who have seen Spiderman or The Simpsons Movie, you will understand. Anyways, she just loves it!

Flying Taylor - She sure loves her Daddy!

Look at those skinny long legs!

Taylor eating a Thanksgiving turkey cupcake - YUMMY!

Taylor & her cousin Parker climbing & playing on Thanksgiving Day!

Taylor needing to be a little more gentle - she just knocked her cousin off the car! She can definitely hold her own when it comes to the boys!

My cousin Amanda & sister Paige - Aren't they lovely?!!?

This is my sister's little car, we call it a little car from Europe! It's super cute just super small. My dad, Jordan and his dad all rode in it that night to go to the ASU vs. USC game. It was pretty funny to see three grown men in this tiny little chick car!

Me & Taylor testing out the off road vehicles at Bass Pro Shop. I couldn't get her off of them. She loves going there to see all the animals and especially the fish! We've actually been there quite a bit, but since Grandpa Hill had never been we were lucky to be able to go again!

This was one of Taylor's favorites, but we had to tell her that we couldn't buy it. She was okay with that.

Taylor petting and talking to an antelope - She really liked it even though it wasn't real

Bentley's Blessing

We blessed our beautiful little Bentley on the night of Wednesday 11/21/07 at our home. It was a very special occasion and I loved that all of our family was able to attend! Especially my mom & dad and Paige (my sister) and Jordan's parents who came in from out of town to be with us! I really have the most wonderful family! Jordan gave an amazing blessing to our little girl! I'm so thankful for the church and for my husband being able to give our children such powerful blessings - it really is such an amazing feeling!

Thank you to everyone that was able to come - it meant so much to us to have all of you there! I can't wait to see Bentley Reese Hill added to the church records under our names! I remember when Taylor was added I just couldn't believe it! I'm sure I will have the feeling all over again! I LOVE that I have two little girls!

Our wonderful family!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAYLOR!!!!

TAYLOR is 2 YEARS OLD! She had her birthday on November 20th & I just can't believe it! She is SO grown up! It was definitely a fun birthday for her, at least I think so! She is such a fun age right now with all of her personality and talking and just being so dang cute! Both of her grandparents were able to come and celebrate her BIG #2 B-Day! My parents and sister Paige drove from Colorado and Jordan's parents flew in from Idaho! She was basically spoiled to death with people that love her!

We had a birthday dinner out at my aunt & uncle's house the Sunday before Taylor's Birthday for all the November birthday's and Taylor had SO much fun! She got to play with their pig, jump on the trampoline, open presents and eat cake - she was in heaven! She loved all the presents that she got! It was funny because the first present she opened was from my Aunt Natalie (who gave her a really cute dress) she immediately wanted to wear it over her clothes. She wore it the rest of the night and then again on her birthday that Tuesday! What a girl! She already loves clothes! She even got $2 from Grandma Great! Her very first money! It was really cute! We tried to get her to do the traditional money dance, but maybe next year!

On Tuesday 11/20/07 - her actual birthday we threw a little party for her! My parents got into town Monday night and The Hill's flight came in Tues. night for Tay's party. We took her to Village Inn for a birthday breakfast that morning and they let her pick a piece of pie - she picked Chocolate Lush - smart girl! That night Jordan and Taylor went to the airport to pick up Grandma & Grandpa Hill and when they came home we surprised Taylor with cake and presents & of course purple balloons! We gave her a little Barbie power wheels car and she LOVES it! She just drives it around our backyard like a pro! I think she had a wonderful birthday! It was so much fun to make her feel extra special on her special day!

Zoo Lights

On November 18th we were able to attend the Phoenix Zoo Lights as a family! We had such a great time and the lights were absolutely beautiful! I just LOVE Christmas time - I just can't believe that it is already here! Taylor was so much fun as she pointed to everything she saw and wanted us to see too! The best part was her noticing the purple lights - I thought they were the prettiest too! It was a wonderful activity for our little family to be a part of to start off this holiday season!
P.S. Bentley liked the lights too! (Thanks Ashley for the tickets!!!)

Our family at Zoo lights standing by a beautiful tree with purple lights!

Me & my girls

Jord & his two little princesses

Taylor just loves other kids - she probably could have stayed there and played with them the whole night!

This is actually Taylor's 1st picture with Santa, we have never taken her to see him before - probably because this is the reaction I would expect to see. But doesn't every one's first picture with Santa look like this? It was pretty funny!

Tay & her daddy watching some jumping grasshopper lights together!

Us just getting ready to leave the zoo - I love my family!

THE BEST DOG EVER!!!

WE'VE HAD TRIGGER SINCE HE WAS ONLY 6 WEEKS OLD & HE HAS BEEN SUCH AN IMPORTANT PART OF OUR FAMILY! IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE THAT HE WILL BE 4 IN MARCH! WE LOVE HIM SO MUCH ESPECIALLY FOR ALL THAT HE HAS TO PUT UP WITH, HAVING TAYLOR AS HIS BEST FRIEND! I JUST HAD TO PAY A LITTLE TRIBUTE TO OUR WONDERFUL FAMILY PET THAT IS REALLY MORE LIKE JUST ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBER IN THIS HOUSE! HE REALLY IS THE BEST DOG IN THE WHOLE WORLD! (NOTE: SINCE BEING ON HIS DIET HE HAS DEFINITELY LOST WEIGHT, WE AREN'T SURE HOW MUCH, BUT HE IS LOOKING FIT & TRIM!)

TAYLOR USING TRIGGER AS A TABLE FOR HER JUICE CUP!

TRIGGER WITH MY COUSIN ABBI - HE THINKS THAT HE IS A LAP DOG EVEN THOUGH HE IS REALLY 100+ POUNDS

I WAS GETTING READY TO START A LOAD OF LAUNDRY, WHICH I ALWAYS THROW DOWNSTAIRS FROM OUR BALCONY AND I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT HE WAS LAYING AT THE BOTTOM OF MY PILE OF CLOTHES. HE DIDN'T EVEN MOVE....HE JUST STAYED THERE BEING HIT BY FALLING CLOTHES. WHAT A DOG!

THESE PICS ARE HILARIOUS TO ME! EVERY ONE OF HIS TOYS WAS PULLED OUT OF THE BASKET ONE DAY AS IF TO SAY, "PLEASE PLAY WITH ME, YOU CAN PICK ANY TOY YOU WANT!" TAYLOR WAS PROBABLY THE ONE WHO PULLED ALL OF THESE OUT, BUT HE IS MOST LIKELY VERY DESPERATE FOR ATTENTION THESE DAYS!

Things that make me smile.....

After such a crazy couple of months I had to take some time and reflect on all the wonderful things in my life and realize there is far more to smile about than there is to frown upon. I LOVE being a mom to my two little girls, having a polar bear for a dog and an absolutely amazing husband that every day teaches me what it takes to be a better person! He truly is my hero in every way!

When Bentley is sleeping she truly looks like an angel - It reminds me that she was sent to us straight from heaven!

I LOVE getting my girls dressed each day! It's way more fun than getting myself ready! They just look SO cute in everything I put them in! That's definitely a highlight to my day - being able to dress two little girls! I'm lucky to have that opportunity!

I love how much Taylor loves her little sister! Hopefully Bentley feels the same way!

Taylor's eyelashes make me smile big time! They are so beautiful! And she already knows how to work them to get what she wants!

What a mischievous little girl!

We smile & laugh every single day at the facial expressions this kid can come up with! She is SO FULL of personality! I wouldn't change a thing about her (except maybe some of the dirty looks I get sometimes)

We made puppy chow one night (one of our fav's) & I went upstairs with Bentley, came back down and this is what I found. Dang kid can reach the counter with no problems now! She just helped herself - no need to wait for mom anymore!

I have mixed feelings about these pictures. She looks so cute when she wears her little backpack, but it almost brings tears to my eyes thinking about her going off to school! I'm not ready for that yet - She's growing up way too fast! At least I have a few more years before I have to face that!

We just got a new double stroller & Taylor must of sat in it for 30 minutes right there in our living room! I should of had Jordan set it up much sooner if I knew it was going to occupy her for that long! She just sat there and thought it was so fun!

This picture says it all! Bentley just relaxing trying to get some sleep with Taylor right there by her saying a million things at once!

Bentley's belly button - it's fun because she has an "inny" & Taylor has an "outy" so I'm lucky to have both!
