My Little Bentley - LATEST UPDATE!

Bentley will be 9 months old on the 1st of July - how crazy is that? She has grown up right before my eyes! She is at such a fun stage right now and we are having so much fun these days just being together! Here are a few things that have been going on with Bentley these past 4 weeks since I last posted an update about her:

1.) On Monday, she had her second weight check doctor's appointment. She now weighs 13 lbs 9 oz which means that she gained 2 oz since last month. The doctor is still really concerned mainly because she is so tall. She is now 27 1/2 inches which puts her in upper 95% on the charts. Weight is still below the charts so compared to her height, that's why the doctor feels she really needs to gain more weight. I don't really know what else I can do, but she has her 9 month check up in a few weeks and we will just check things out again when we go back. We have all been sick so the doctor felt that might have had an influence on why she wasn't gaining weight this month. In fact, poor little girl ended up having an ear infection while we were at this visit. I had no idea! She's had a tough couple weeks - which brings me to the next two things going on with Bentley lately........

2.) She had her very first encounter with PINK EYE! It was really weird, Taylor got it first and had it for about a week before it cleared up and then once it was gone, Bentley got it! We have been washing clothes, bedding, hands and basically everything these days to make sure that stupid stuff is out of our house! I felt SO bad for Bentley because it seemed like she got it so much worse than Taylor did. Of course it spread to both eyes and they were so pink and swollen. It broke my heart to see her that way! Good thing about the medicine they gave us though is that it clears up pretty quickly!

3.) She got her 3rd tooth! She looks so different now with a tooth on top and two on the bottom. She looks so grown up! I kind of just want her to cut all her teeth right away so we can get through this teething stage!

4.) She learned how to clap her hands! It's so cute to see her learn and explore all the things that she can do all by herself! Once she learned how to clap her hands it almost seemed like she was clapping more than not. She smiles and giggles at her new discovery! I just love it! It's especially neat to see her understand what "Clap" means. When we ask her, "Beny, clap your hands!" She knows exactly what we mean and just starts clapping away!

5.) Bentley has also learned how to wave and I think this is my favorite! She looks at us waving and then looks at her hand and focuses on making the same movements! It really is amazing how little babies learn! Now she is at the point where all I have to do is say, "Hi Beny!" without waving and she starts waving her cute little hand at me! Talk about melt my heart! It was funny because the other day we were out back playing and Taylor was talking to Trigger and telling him, "Hi Triggy, do you want to play?" I was sitting in the grass holding Bentley right next to Trigger and she started waving at him. It was too cute!

6.) SHE'S MOBILE! I love the stage when they start moving! It keeps you on your toes, but I love seeing the freedom that her and I both get to enjoy! She's been army crawling for about a month and has since mastered getting up on her hands and knees! It's SO fun! Her and Taylor play together so much these days and their laughter makes me so happy!

It's time to lower the crib! She can pull herself up now and greet us when we walk through the door!

Bentley's 1st time riding in the shopping chart without her car seat!

What a sweet little girl - supporting her sister while in the hospital getting medicine for Taylor's pink eye! I only wish that Taylor didn't have to share this particular item with her baby sister.......

This is Bentley's FAVORITE thing to do lately! She crawls between out couches and plays (meaning rips apart) my magazines. She loves it, probably because she KNOWS that she is not supposed to do it! It's so funny because she will look back at me while she is crawling over there to see if I am watching!

WE LOVE YOU DADDY!

WE WOULD BE LOST WITHOUT YOU! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Father's Day this year didn't go exactly like I had it all planned out in my mind. Jordan has really been extra wonderful lately and I really wanted to make this day special for him! Well, unfortunately he once again had to take care of me! I have been so rundown lately with training, taking care of sick kids and then getting sick myself that I was just about to collapse by Sunday.

Father's Day breakfast was delicious, probably because Jordan had to prepare most of it! Poor guy! I did make him blueberry muffins which he said he had been craving these days, but he pretty much took over the show by making hash browns, bacon & eggs and yummy hot chocolate for all of us girls. What an amazing dad!

Then he graciously took the girls to church all by himself so that I could get some rest that I SO desperately needed. Our ward just split and they are still assigning callings, so this week we only had sacrament, but still - sitting through and an hour to 1 1/2 hours with an almost 3 year old and a mobile 8 month old - NOT the easiest thing to do, but he did it!

We had plans to go to Father's Day dinner out at my aunt & uncle's house later that night, but I knew I wasn't going to make it. So instead of having a dinner all ready and made special for him, Jord ended up making us dinner at home. And of course it was delicious! He is the best cook!

Jord - You really are something else! Thank you for absolutely everything that you do for me and your family! You are the most selfless person I have ever met and after all these years of knowing you, you still amaze me with how thoughtful and giving you are! You always, always, always make me feel loved and protected! Our girls have the absolute best dad and they will learn that more and more as they grow older. As for now, they light up each and every time you walk through the door and see your smiling face! I can't thank you enough for being such a perfect role model for them and for me! We love you so much and hope you had a great Father's day even though you didn't get the pampering that you deserve! I promise next year will be better.....hopefully! You are my everything and I love you dearly!

Taylor LOVES her Daddy!

Taylor & Bentley on Father's Day!

The girls and I made this picture for Jordan to show him how much we love him!

Tay wanted to model holding the picture!

How could they not love him with all the fun games he is willing to play with them!

Taylor gets her adventurous side from you - she is so fearless and always getting into something! I love that she is willing to try anything and accomplish what she sets her mind on....just like her daddy!

Something is wrong with this picture. Taylor sure had fun shooting the BIG kids with the water gun at the slash park the other day! She is big & strong just like her daddy too!

Bentley at the splash park @ Goodyear Park - She is so sweet & loving just like her dad!

Bentley looks so much like Jordan and I just love her to pieces! Here she is enjoying some ice cream from Cold Stone the other night. It's hard not to share when she looks at you with these big puppy dog eyes!

Queen of "Our Home"

Multitasking.........

Just like her father!

Playing in the backyard! Notice Taylor trying to playing tug-o-war with Trigger! She must have learned that from her father!

These little girls LOVE their daddy - He is their HERO!

The sweetest things in life.........

ARE THE ONES WE LOVE!

Taylor, Bentley and I just wanted to wish a VERY HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to the EXTREMELY SPECIAL men in our lives! Our girls are truly blessed to be loved so much by such incredible people.......and let me tell you, they are LOVED!

Grandpa Wally - I really lucked out when it comes to the Dad Department! You have ALWAYS taken such great care me and you continue to do so! I love the fact that I can always turn to you when I have a question or a need for some good advice! My girls just adore you and so do I! Thank you for EVERYTHING! You are a big part of my life and I don't want that to ever change! We love you so very much!

Grandpa Hill (Dougie as Tay calls you) - What an awesome guy you are! I love that you are my father-in-law and that my girls get to call you their Grandpa! You have so many amazing qualities that I'm happy to say my dear sweet husband has been blessed with! Thank you for always making me feel like part of the family and being such a wonderful "Dad!" We love you!

Grandpa Durdy - HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! Boy, do I wish that I could see you more often! You are such a special man and I love you so very much! I always feel so happy and lucky when I get to be around you! You are truly an amazing guy! We love you so much and wish we lived closer so the girls could come over and look at the squirrels whenever they wanted!

Grandpa Joe - We miss you everyday! You blessed the lives of everyone that had the chance be around you! Thank you for being such a wonderful Grandpa to me and loving all of us so much! You are such a wise man and I will always value the lessons that I was able to learn from you! I can't wait to see you again when we are all reunited as an eternal family! We love you & miss you!

Since it's "All about the grandchildren" now, here are some cute pics of the girls that we took just for Father's Day! Thankfully, we did this little photo shoot before Taylor's hair fiasco! They certainly LOVE their grandpa's! Hope you guys had a wonderful day! ENJOY!

Happy Father's Day!
