HAPPY 4TH & 28TH B-DAY TRIGGY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRIGGER! He turned 4 years old on Monday, March 24th so in dog years I guess that makes him 28 years old. He has been such an amazing part of our family since the day we decided to buy him almost 4 years ago. He was just a fluffy 6 week old pup when we first met and decided that we couldn't live without him!

I felt kind of bad because Trigger was sick on his birthday. He just wasn't acting like himself and later that night he even threw up. I didn't realize it at the time, but when Jordan came inside from working in the backyard this is the conversation that I overheard while feeding Bentley in her room. I always seem to be feeding her when something is going on....or maybe I am just always feeding her! Anyway, Jordan walked inside and starting yelling for Taylor to come here. He proceeded to ask her, "Did you pee on the floor?" Then something must of come to his attention because he said out loud, talking to himself, " No way could you have peed that much.......TRIGGER!" He then yelled for Trigger. Thinking to myself, I knew that Trigger would rather hold it for 24 hours than go inside the house. That must have been the same thing running through Jordan's mind because when I heard Taylor asking him, "What happened, Daddy?" He replied, "Trigger is not feeling good and he threw up." After asking him the same question three more times she said, "Oh, what are you doing daddy?" Jordan, being the amazingly patient guy that he is replied in a soft voice, "I am cleaning up Trigger's throw up." And again asking her same question two more times and Jordan giving the same answer, our sweet little girl had this to say, "Oh........thank you daddy!" I enjoyed listening to this sweet conversation so much and I'm so proud and thankful for how Jordan handled it and the fact that he cleaned it up! Trigger is feeling much better now which we are very happy about!

Trigger really is the best dog that anyone could ever ask for - especially for a family like us with crazy little girls to torment him like they do. Jordan and I were laughing the other day because he had been laying by the kitchen table for quite some time just waiting for someone to offer him the leftover pieces of hot dog that Taylor didn't eat. Jordan said, "If only our kids were as easy to watch as he is!" We knew right where he was at all times and he didn't even consider trying to get the food himself. What a good dog! Of course we gave him the scraps for proving to be so wonderful!

We love you Trigger, for all the joy you bring to each of our lives and for the unconditional love you have for each of us! Happy Birthday Big Guy!

This isn't the best picture because it was taken with a camera phone, but it is actually the very first picture we took of him - even before we bought him. We went back the next day and sealed the deal! He was so cute & little!

He has always been such a beautiful dog!

In this picture his head had blue & purple lines on it because he was outside with Taylor and she was using her sidewalk caulk on him instead of the sidewalk.

He loves to relax wherever he can find a quiet place......

......because after all he doesn't have long until he is joined by his partner in crime!

We love our big fat boy!

EASTER SUNDAY!

We had a wonderful Easter this year! Holidays just seem to get more and more fun as our children get older - it's almost impossible for them to hide their excitement! I truly love to see my children smile, and boy have they been smiling lately! After being spoiled by family for a week straight and getting all the attention in the world, they woke up Sunday morning with MORE treats and MORE games to play! One of these days they are going to discover that everyday isn't a holiday.....or maybe life really is just one big vacation for a kid! They don't have to worry about anything, just enjoy each and every day! I'm so glad that I have my children to show this to me because if I cross my fingers maybe I can keep a portion of that carefree attitude for myself!

On Sunday, we spent a lazy morning in our pajama's, colored Easter eggs, went on an Easter Egg hunt around our house, had a wonderful time at church (minus the episode of Taylor hitting again in nursery), and had a delicious dinner out at my aunt & uncle's house in Mesa. It was a full day, but very peaceful and relaxing! We give thanks to our Heavenly Father for sending his son to atone for us that we might be forgiven of our sins! I'm especially thankful because of Him that I will always get to be with my family forever! I love my family and I don't think I could live without them!

Jordan helping Taylor with her Easter Egg hunt around our house - All the Spiderman eggs had "monies" in them which she was really excited about.

Tay & Daddy coloring Easter eggs on Sunday morning before church.

Jordan & I have really been wanting a nice picture of Christ in our home. Taylor & I went to Deseret Book on the Friday before Easter and this is the picture that we found. I just love it! It brings such a comfort of peace to me every time I look at it. I was also very excited because it was on sale!

This is Taylor on the way home from Deseret. I was laughing because of the irony. I think that she looks just like Mary....so holy! I think she was trying to make up for the fact that I told her she could pick out one book at the store about Jesus to read and these are the ones she picked.....

......Princess books! I let her get them, but we picked up a few other ones about Jesus while we were there too!

Sunday night we went to Bruce & Jamie's house for a delicious dinner. It was so great to see everyone since we don't get to visit as often as we used to when we lived in Mesa. Here are a bunch of the kids after dinner eating Fun dips. Jordan & Grandma Great included.

I LOVE BEING DURDY!

Before I married Jordan my maiden name was Megan Ann Durdy. I've heard just about every joke in the book growing up and even though I am Megan Ann Hill now, I will always be proud to be a "Durdy"! Especially when I get to be around my family. They are so special to me and I am so thankful that they are mine! They were actually just here all last week and I'm so sad that they are already gone. They arrived here last Sunday (the day we got home from Vegas) and just left on Friday morning. I wish they could stay forever - or maybe more realistically - I wish we lived closer! They are still back home in Colorado and now that we live in Goodyear, it's a 13 - 14 hour drive. WOW! That's just too far these days!

They hadn't seen our new house yet so it was fun to show them all the things we have done and give them the grand tour of the place we call home. Our girls had an ABSOLUTE BLAST with their Grandma Susie, Grandpa Wally and Aunt Paigey! By mid-week Taylor was saying things like, "Paigey, Paigey come here!" and "Wally, what are you doing?" or "Suie, I want to wear a dress!" It was precious to say the least. We really didn't do anything crazy while they were here. Just hung out and played and watched the boys bust their butts in the backyard. My dad helped Jordan start and just about complete the sprinkler system while he was here. My dad is truly an amazing guy! Growing up he was always involved in some kind of project or fixing something in our house or simply making an improvement. Well, this weekend he helped us big time with the sprinkler system. It doesn't sound that complicated, but let me tell you, there is a lot that goes into doing a complete sprinkler system. I'm just glad that I wasn't the one digging and piping and doing whatever else! It was pretty fun to watch it all come together though!

Us girls on the other hand just got to watch movies and play dress up and other games with Taylor and Bentley. I know it's a hard life, but someone has to do all that stuff too....right?

Taylor opening her Easter basket of goodies from Grandma Susie & GW.

This is the chocolate bunny that my mom gave Taylor - good thing she got a small one! I told Taylor that she could hold the box, but not open it. When she disappeared my sister and I found her in my closet biting off the ears.

Grandpa Wally with little Bentley. They had a great time together!

Taylor, my mom & Bentley working on a puzzle together.

My beautiful sister, Paige with happy little Bentley.

What a fun family to come and visit us!

Taylor had so much fun with my dad! I'm sure he can remember the days of when I used to ride on his shoulders!

I caught my parents playing some fun little games with Taylor while I was inside feeding Bentley. The first game was throwing dirt clods at the block wall and watching them burst into a million pieces and the second game was my dad filling the trenches with water and telling Taylor that they were going to buy little army men and light them on fire and throw them into the water. GREAT! In the meantime they decided to throw the dirt clods into the water and create giant splashes. I'm so glad that I had just gotten done getting Taylor dressed for the day! The grandparents will let them get away with anything!

Trigger getting in on the action.

Paige is my "black" sister if you can't tell and like always she had to lay out and get some sun. Taylor wanted to join her and get a suntan herself......

...I eventually moved her towel into the shade so that she could cool off a little bit, but she still wanted to stay outside in her swimsuit.

Bentley did a little sunbathing also, but in the shade with a hat! She has her daddy's skin.

Taylor had so much fun hanging out with Paige and my mom. She put on quite the show for them EVERY DAY!

Bentley hanging out with her mommy!

Bentley & I were getting ready to go out and check on the guys and see the progress of the sprinkler system.

Tay Tay and I were wide awake one day and this is what everyone else was doing......

......Paige was sleeping.....

......Grandma Susie was sleeping.......

......Trigger was sleeping.....

.....Jordan was sleeping.....

......Grandpa Wally was checking his laptop about work back home.

What a mischivious little girl!

Making a cake with Grandma Susie and of course taste testing it first!

One day Taylor fell asleep in Jordan's arms and she still couldn't let go of her chapsticks. She LOVES lipgloss!

Grandma Great came to visit us and fixed Taylor's favorite dress for her. It was basically torn to shreads and Grandma Great made it brand new again!

GW with his granddaughters! They LOVE him!

Taylor likes to doorbell ditch our own house. Every time the doorbell rings, Trigger barks like crazy and she thinks it is hilarious!

Tay going for a drive with Grandma Susie & GW.

Grandpa went to the store and bought Taylor a special treat - who can resist a little ice cream?

Jord playing with Tay & Beny after a long day at work & then working in the backyard.

Bentley is getting so big, but she still looks so tiny in her daddy's arms.

Oh Taylor! She helped herself to my makeup one afternoon and doesn't she look beautiful!
