Golfing with the ladybugs!

Our lives are pretty boring these days, but they have been so enjoyable for us! We rarely even leave the house now that we have a backyard to call our own. The girls & I play all day out there and right when Jordan gets home the real fun begins. We immediately rush out there and start playing all kinds of games. Trigger especially gets SO excited and starts running around the yard like a crazy dog! Taylor will join him sometimes too! She LOVES to run and dance and be WILD!

The newest thing that I found Jordan and Taylor doing together is going on ladybug hunts. It was SO precious to see them crawling around the yard looking and searching. When Jordan would find one, Taylor's eyes would light up and they BOTH were happy as can be! Bentley & I helped and joined in the fun for a little bit, but I enjoyed just watching them spend that quality time together! Jordan is an amazing father and I love him so much for blessing our children with all that he does!

Another thing that I catch Jordan and Taylor doing together is playing golf. I really think Jordan enjoys it just as much as Taylor does. We bought Tay a little cheapo golf set from Walmart and they will go outback and have chipping contests. Jordan's mind set these days is golf, golf, golf - it's pretty cute that he includes his 2 1/2 year old daughter with his new obsession! They have so much fun together!

Taylor & her daddy on a ladybug hunt! It was one of the cutest things I have EVER seen!

THEY FOUND ONE!

Taylor reaching out to hold a ladybug as it was trying to fly away.

Daddy holding a ladybug that they found together.

Tay's turn....she wasn't quite sure how long she wanted it on her though.

I LOVE this picture! It shows just how much Taylor ADORES her father!

Me & Beny - Don't mind my "didn't get ready for the day" look, but Beny looks cute!

Jord playing with his girls! What a lucky guy!

Jord & Tay golfing together in our backyard. I think Taylor might have taught him a thing or two!

Taylor LOVES being outside and ABSOLUTELY LOVES doing things with her dad!

Taylor with "HER" new lawn mower. She likes to help Jordan cut the grass!

Stopping to smell the flowers - something we all should take the time to do!

Our happy little Beny sitting up all by herself!

A few pics of Bentley enjoying the outdoors! She is growing up SO fast!

Laundry, Laundry and more Laundry.....

Sickness hit the Hill House this week and I'm so thankful that it only lasted a couple days! Both Jordan and Taylor got the flu and all of us girls are still battling these stupid colds with running noses and non-stop coughing. Why must we ever get sick? I ask myself this question every time it happens. I guess it's to make us appreciate our health when we are feeling great. I look forward to that day!

I do a lot of laundry as it is in our house, but this past week I have found myself very behind. I was trying to figure out why exactly that was when I realized that clean laundry had taken over my couch and here are my excuses:
1.) Having sick people in your house - you end up washing everything a few times just to make sure the germs are all gone.
2.) With a daughter that wears 18 different outfits a day and somehow magically gets all of them dirty in the short time that she wears them - you end up washing little girls clothes alone like 2 or 3 times a week. I'm so thankful for my little princess!
3.) Bentley is growing! YEAH! It's so fun having two girls in a row because when you pull the next size of clothes out of storage it's like going shopping for really cute stuff except everything is free! I washed an entire bin of 6-12 month clothes that Taylor used to wear so that Bentley could try them out!

Even though it was an overwhelming amount of clothes to fold and organize and put away, we had a lot of fun getting the job done! My little helper (Taylor) kept me entertained by wanting to try on all her old clothes and model them for me. I found myself telling her, "Tay, that's way too little for you. You wore that when you were a baby." Or, "Honey, that's for Bentley to wear - I don't think that it will fit you." She proved me wrong BIG TIME by squeezing her tiny little buns into 6-9 months shirts and pants. I was shocked!

I'm happy to say that I am all caught up on the laundry.....at least for now (I've already noticed the hampers starting to fill again). Why is it a never ending chore? I'm just thankful that my sweet husband and daughter are feeling better! I love my HEALTHY family!

THE DAMAGE!

These are ALL little girl clothes just waiting to be put away and worn again!

Much better!

Again.....all little girls clothes! I can't believe how many outfits my little girls have!

Poor little sick Taylor getting some rest.

When she woke up she was almost healed! She was ready to go and play and do whatever else. I caught her putting her blanket on her daddy while he was still sleeping and she told me that she wanted him to be "cozy." It was really sweet!

Taylor wearing her old 6-9 month shirt and 12 month "4th of July" shorts. They were tight, but she managed to get them on!

I found this picture of Taylor wearing the same shirt, but when she was only about 9 months old. It's hard to believe that she was once that small. She looks more like Bentley in this picture! It sure is CRAZY to reminisce!

Backyard Fun!

We all woke up early Saturday morning to spend a little quality time in our backyard. We reached 2 weeks with a green lawn and it was time to mow the grass for the very first time. We were so excited!

Taylor, Bentley, Trigger and I all sat on the back patio and watched Jordan mow the lawn. It was so much fun and I'm just positive that Jord enjoyed being stared at the entire time! There's nothing like freshly cut grass! I love the smell and the feel beneath my feet. It sure reminded me of back home! Jord and I were laughing because after he was done (like 15 min. later) I asked him if he had fun and surprisingly his answer was, "YES!" I guess it's different when you have your own grass than when you are a kid and your parents make you do chores. We are thankful for this chore in our lives! We LOVE having a backyard!

The weather has been wonderful and we have been spending so much time with family and friends in our backyard! We bought Taylor a little baseball bat and a bunch of balls so she could learn to hit, and she's actually getting better, but she would rather use the bat as a golf club and hit the balls that way. We need to get her a little set of clubs. Other things that we have been enjoying together are soccer, badminton, tag and just flat out relaxing. It's so funny to watch Taylor run and tumble and have so much fun being a kid! I find myself taking the girls outside for breakfast, lunch and even sometimes dinner! It feels so good to be outside surrounded by green!

Bentley just barely awake on Saturday morning!

I must be crazy, but I went and woke Taylor up on Saturday so she could see the new lawn mower and watch her daddy use it for the first time. She was sleeping in the guest room because we were in the process of painting her room. I woke her just after 8:00 am, when normally she is up by 7:00 at the latest. NOTE: She hasn't slept in since.

We woke up early so we could see this!!!!

Our newest purchase!

Jord in action - I can't believe how much the grass grew in only 2 weeks!

Jord, Tay and Trig running through the sprinklers!

Taylor can't stand having her clothes wet. She will even change out of her favorite dress if she spills water on it. She had to strip down completely after they ran through the sprinklers. She was complaining that her "bum was cold." Poor kid! She took a warm shower immediately after.

I LOVE fresh flowers!

Taylor LOVES these ice cream bars that we bought at the store. We have to eat them outside so the mess can be minimized. I ran inside for a moment and came back to this........

......Bentley was licking her lips and covered in mint green ice cream. She looked thrilled! What a nice big sister to share with her little sister. Of course I had to explain to Taylor that Bentley isn't quite old enough yet for treats like that.

Tay likes to through the football around, but I think she enjoys playing with her dad more than her mom.

I gave Taylor some sidewalk caulk to play with the other day and instead of coloring I found her doing this. She is so funny! She is always setting her toys up in a straight line or making them face the same way. As she was playing I could hear her saying (almost singing) the color of each piece of caulk that she had. It was pretty cute!

Bentley enjoyed playing a little soccer herself! Even though she mostly tried to eat the ball, she got in a few good kicks!

The sisters enjoying time together outside.
