This past weekend we gained something so wonderful......a green backyard! It truly is a small taste of paradise for us! After Jordan and my dad finished the sprinkler system a few weeks ago, Jordan spent the following week getting everything else finalized and ready to go before the grass was set to arrive. My sweet husband spent his days at work and then came home and worked in the backyard until 9:00 or 9:30 at night. I am so blessed to have such a hard working husband!
My incredible dad, even though he was just here a few weeks ago and helped us with the sprinkler system, flew down on Friday just to help us lay all 2,250 sq ft of sod that we received early Saturday morning! He is either crazy or the best guy in the whole world! I have to give a big THANKS to Jord and Grandpa Wally for all their hard work because it has more than paid off!
The window of time that the sod company gave us to watch for delivery was 6 pm Friday until 12:00 noon on Saturday (small window, right?). They ended up delivering around 3:30 am which was perfect because that meant we could start bright and early when we woke up, but the only problem was they dropped all five pallets off to our neighbors house - that was nice of them! Even with that small obstacle Jordan and my dad conquered it all and we officially have our very first backyard of beautiful green grass!
Dad - We can't thank you enough for all that you do for us and all your sacrifices! I couldn't have asked for a greater dad or especially a better grandfather for my children! We just hope you know how much fun we had with you and how much we appreciate all the help you have given us these past few weeks! We owe you big time! We loved all the time that we got to spend with you and those memories will be treasured always! Thank you for giving us such a beautiful addition to our home! Next time you come to visit us you can just sit back and relax....I promise! And don't worry we plan to carry on the tradition with our girls when it comes time to create their perfect backyards! Thanks so much again!
Taylor & Bentley testing out their new backyard!
GW & Tay getting "cold" in the new wet grass!
Beny & her Grandpa Wally!
The sprinkler system definitely works!
Taylor already playing in the puddles!
We planted one orange tree & one grapefruit tree in the middle of our yard and in the corners there is one queen palm for each of our girls!
Our new backyard! We just have a few final touches like getting the rock and planting a few more bushes, but we have grass and that's more than enough for us right now!
THE JOURNEY OF OUR BACKYARD:

9 Thoughts to share!:
LUCKY! I am SO jealous! Your backyard looks absolutely fabulous! We're looking forward to seeing it in person sometime soon! Grandpa Wally and Jordan sure did a great job! True professionals!
Wow, that is so awesome to see you working on your back yard that much. And it looks like you were working round the clock, especially with Jordan being able to work under a full moon and all... Talk about dedication. True Sun Devil!!
WOW it looks amazing. Trigger is probably so excited! Looks like things are going good and AZ is warming up. What an awesome DAD you have. Miss you guys.
It looke SOOO great! I am so happy for your sweet little family! I am so jealous that you have your own yard. So exciting!
Your backyard looks so nice I'm so jealous. Way to go Jordan and your Dad! It was so good to see you and the girls last weekend Maddix loves to play with Taylor so much. I think they are alot alike because Maddix wont go anywhere with out her lip gloss and purse too. We should get together so they can play more. And a couple days later I was watching Olivia and the girls decided to play with there babies and they named them Bentley and the girls names were Taylor so I thought that was cute.
ALl the hard work paid off... it looks amazing! There is nothing like a GREEN yard. The neighborhhod that we are renting in now everyone has rock, and I hate it. Everything is so much prettier with grass landscaping. Anyways, no we just bought out in Gilbert, not Goodyear. What builders did you guys go through? I am kinda nervous about building now with all these people getting screwed over, I just dont want to rent anymore, and I figure now is the time to buy! Well you need to give me a call if you ever come out to Mesa.
I love your little girls outfits, if I had two girls, I would dress them like twins everyday. I love it!
Looks great, oh how I miss our grass from Texas. Las Vegas is pretty much all rocks!
It looks Beautiful! How nice to have such a pretty back yard. Your dad and husband are awesome- way to go guys! YAY!!!
Your yard looks beautiful! It looks like a lot of hard work went into making it that way. We can't wait to come and see your grass and chase the girls on it. Looks like Tay was a big help to Jord and Grandpa.
