5 Years of Wedded Bliss!

Jordan and I just celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary on June 27th and we couldn't be any happier! It's crazy to think that it has already been 5 years, but then again I can't remember my life without him! We truly are blessed to have the lives that we do and the amazing family that we share together! We have conquered so much in these past five years and experienced SO many wonderful memories together that I can't wait to see where our journey takes us the rest of the way!

Jordan was in charge of making our anniversary plans this year and I must admit he really raised the bar for when my turn comes around! Everything was so perfect and we had such a great time together! He surprised me with a weekend getaway to The Biltmore Resort & Spa and I absolutely loved it! It was the first time we have left the girls overnight EVER and my sweet mother and sister flew here all the way from Colorado to take on the task of watching them for us! Thank you SO much Mom and Paigey for all that you guys did for us - we appreciate it so very much!

We started out our weekend by getting ready at the resort and going to Ruth's Chris Steak House for dinner. It was so relaxing and delicious! I loved just being with my husband and not having to worry about a single thing! That really is a wonderful feeling! That night we walked around the hotel, holding hands and just being in love! It's kind of sad, but I think we went to bed around 10:30 that night because I had to wake up so early for my run that next morning. It worked out perfect because one of the groups for my marathon meet right by a park next to The Biltmore. We meet at 5:00 am so this made it a lot easier than driving back towards our house where I normally meet my group for our long runs! I ran 10 miles that morning which was the first time doing double digits while training for this marathon! I was pretty proud of myself! It was tough running by my hotel room and knowing that my lucky husband was sound asleep so I tried to run extra fast that morning!

On Saturday morning, when I got back from my run, we went to breakfast at Einstein Bros. Bagels and then shopping! It was so much fun to go shopping without the kids.....except for some reason we found ourselves going into all the kid stores to find something for them! We really missed our girls! When we got back from shopping we went to the pool and swam for a few hours. This was a blast to do with Jordan because I really can't remember the last time we were able to relax like that together! Later that night we went to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and saw Get Smart at the movie theatre. Let me tell you, something as simple as going to dinner and a movie with your husband is one of the greatest treats! We really had a great night!

Sunday morning we slept in and relaxed some more and we were especially excited to see Taylor and Bentley! We really did miss them and couldn't wait to see them! We decided to spend our last day at the resort by having my mom and Paige bring the girls to The Biltmore so that we could all go swimming and spend time together! This was an absolute BLAST! We had so much fun at the pool! The hotel had like seven different pools and we went to the one with a water slide on this day. Taylor wasn't quite tall enough, but we figured we could at least try it. They let her ride down no problem by sitting on our laps and we must have gone down that slide 60 times because she LOVED it so much! She seriously could not stop smiling or laughing! They eventually let her go down the slide all by herself as long as one of us were down at the bottom to catch her! She LOVED this even more! Our little daredevil! Bentley even went down the slide with Jordan a few times and it was really cute! It was the perfect way to finish off a wonderful weekend! I will never forget it! Thanks Jord, for taking such great care of me all these years! I love you!

These are the flowers and card that I woke up to Friday morning!

Our first date in.......I don't know how long! Dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House!

Us at the movies getting ready to see "Get Smart" which was really good by the way!

Lounging by the pool and catching some rays! SO RELAXING!

The love of my life!

Our little family getting ready to go swimming at The Biltmore!

When we went shopping we bought so many presents for the girls - we sure love them! Here Taylor is in our room getting ready to open them!

Bentley sporting some new shades!

Tay wearing her new sunglasses too!

Me & Beny - I missed this little angel!

Jordan and Bentley swimming together!

Me & Taylor having so much fun in the water!

Taylor wanted to go down the water slide SO bad! Not quite tall enough but she got to go anyway and I think she might hold the record for most trips down in one day!

Jord & Tay going down the water slide together - they had so much fun!

Taylor going down the slide all by herself! She was so brave and she LOVED every second of it!

The Hill Family - Est. 2003 - And look at us now!
