My beautiful and amazing mother and sister were just in town for 10 whole days and we had such a wonderful time getting to be with them! Our girls were SPOILED rotten and loved every minute of it! They even watched Tay and Beny so Jordan and I could escape for an entire weekend to celebrate our 5 year anniversary! What an awesome family I have and I am so thankful for them!
We didn't waste any time this trip - we played and kept extra busy with as many fun activities we could possibly think of! And it was sure nice to have a running partner to complete my runs during the week! Thanks Paigey - you're THE BEST and I had so much fun talking with you while we ran all those late nights! You made them fly right by!
Here is a brief rundown of the fun activities we were able to do together:
WEDNESDAY 6/25/08: Auntie Paige and Grandma Susie arrive late that night! YEAH!
THURSDAY 6/26/07: What did we do on this day? I really don't remember, but I'm sure it was WAY FUN! I DO remember the girls getting showered with gifts on this day. My mom had 3 suitcases - 1 full of presents! They LOVE their grandma!
FRIDAY - SUNDAY: Don't really know what went on back home - really anything could have happened while Jordan & I were away on our anniversary weekend, but sounds like the girls were well taken care of and had so much fun with their grandma and aunt - and my mom and sister survived so that's a good thing!
SUNDAY 6/29/08: My mom, Paige and the girls met Jord & I at The Biltmore Resort for a fun filled day of swimming and going down the water slide! SO FUN!
MONDAY 6/30/08: We met up with Jordan for lunch at this delicious Mexican food restaurant and then spent the day shopping at Arrowhead Mall and then raced to Tay's first day of swim lessons (we were 15 min late - oops!)
TUESDAY 7/1/08: We drove down to Tempe Beach Park for the day to let the girls play at the water park and then we met up with my Aunt Cara and my cousin Emily for lunch at California Pizza Kitchen over at the Tempe Marketplace. That place is amazing by the way! We wanted to do more shopping, but Taylor has swim lessons at 4:15 every day so we once again had to race over to the pool to make it on time!
WEDNESDAY 7/2/08: We drove over to Mesa to go to The Children's museum today. It was SO much fun to watch Taylor play and do cute little activities there. This was her first time going to a museum and I will definitely take her again because she didn't want to leave! Swim lessons that afternoon were SO cute! Taylor LOVES the water and you can tell she is having the time of her life while swimming!
THURSDAY 7/3/08: We must like shopping because we decided to go back to Arrowhead Mall and spend some more time finding cute stuff! We melted once again at swim lessons, but I couldn't be more proud! Taylor did such a great job and is catching on to everything so quickly!
FRIDAY 7/4/08: HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! We got all ready and prepared LOTS of food and spent the day and night out at Norm & Cara's house in Chandler. We swam, ate and watched fireworks! It was a great 4th!
SATURDAY 7/5/08: Grandma Great had a sleep over and we spent the day in our pajama's, played barbies and watched movies. Mom and Paigey had to go home today :( We had lunch at Paradise Bakery and said our good-byes. We miss them already and Taylor still asks, "When is Grandma Susie coming to my home?" What a FUN week!
I love this sweet face - even if it is covered with food!
Grandma Susie and Taylor @ The Children's Museum making a pretty picture together.
Bentley just soaking it all up & riding in style!
Me & the girls coloring a picture of all the wonderful and healthy foods we can eat. This section of the museum was all about different foods.
How beautiful!
There was an amazing play kitchen that Taylor couldn't get enough of. She spent a lot of the time while we were there cooking up all kinds of delicious dishes for us to taste.
Bentley had fun just exploring!
Sushi anyone? This little exhibit was so cute and we decided that Taylor's hair was fixed just perfect that day to enjoy some Japanese food!
The girls having a tea party with their grandma!
Precious moments together!
My crazy girls!
Tay playing the piano!
"That will be $6.00 please." It was really cute to see Taylor pretend to sell some pizza to my mom & use the cash register. She's SO grown up!
I tried to get Taylor in this picture, but she was TOO busy running all over the place. If you notice Bentley's face - she is smiling from ear to ear watching her sister have fun!
Taylor had a great time dancing in the window of Forever 21 on one of the days we went shopping. She is so NOT shy!
This sweet girl kept giving Taylor all of her coins so Tay could have a turn dropping them into this little wishing well. It was so nice of her, but we eventually gave Taylor her own money once we noticed just how many "turns" she was getting.
All of us MELTING at Tay's swim lessons! It was so dang hot EVERYDAY, but still so much fun!
Our fam after lunch with daddy!
Just the girls!
She really has learned to accessorize!
Bath time! One of Bentley's favorite times of the day!
This picture is just too darling! Tay and Grandma Great playing barbies together!
