Bentley turned 7 months old on May 1st and I can't believe it! We actually just went to the doctor's office this morning for her weight check and there was good news..........she gained weight! She is now 13 lbs. 7 oz. which still isn't much, but any gain is better than no gain! I was really happy, but when the doctor came in to see her she told me that she is still a little low on the charts - well, she isn't exactly on the charts yet for her weight, but it was an improvement and that's all I can ask for! We have another weight check next month just to make sure everything is still going okay.
Taylor was a perfect big sister while at the doctor's appointment. She has been each time I have taken her with me and the doctor made a point to tell me so at this visit! I was very proud of her and as we were leaving I told Taylor, "Thank you so much for being such a good girl!" We held hands as we crossed the street to our car and I asked her if she wanted a sucker for being so good. Her eyes lit up with excitement! I swear that little girl melts my heart! I asked her to touch the car while I was getting Bentley strapped in since there were cars around us . She was dancing and clicking her tongue, happy as can be when suddenly all of that joy came to a automatic halt! "Gross mommy. I don't want to touch the car! It's dirty!" She was seriously disgusted that I would ask something like that of her. I guess my technique of keeping her safe can only be done when my car is clean. She is too funny!
Other things going on with Bentley these days.........
1.) She is rolling like CRAZY and gets anywhere and everywhere she wants to go! I love seeing her move around and can't wait for her to start crawling!
2.) She has 2 teeth! She got them a few weeks ago on the bottom and is continuing to get more (I think) sometime soon.
3.) She LOVES her sister and they PLAY, PLAY, PLAY together all the time! Just the other day I woke up to giggling voices and found Taylor in Bentley crib. They were laughing and holding hands! Even though it was 6:30 in the morning I was happy to be awake to see such a precious site!
4.) She is CRAZY! She does this new thing where she shakes her head and body whenever she gets excited about something! Mainly when she is getting ready to eat her baby food! I will shake my head from side to side and she thinks it is so funny! She then copies me and starts going crazy! We laugh together and have so much fun! I included a video of her in action at the very bottom!

The sisters playing together!
I was trying to take a picture of her new teeth, but was only able to get her drooling. Oh well, maybe next time!
Her first time eating graham crackers. She loves to eat them as much as making a mess with them!
She was taking a really long nap one day and when I went to check on her I found her sleeping on her stomach for the very first time. She looked so comfortable!
SURPRISE! She can now reach her mobile. One day I caught her grabbing her bugs and swinging them all over the place. As I walked over to see her face she smiled the biggest smile as if to say, "Look at what I can do!" It was pretty cute!

3 Thoughts to share!:
Bentley is growing up so fast! I can't believe all her milestones in such a short time. I keep thinking that about my boy too. It was so much fun to have our little party today, even if my kids were a bit ornery. I told Spencer later that someday I want a "play date" without the kids...
Well, I can't believe little Bentley!! She is growing up so fast and changing, it is kind of scary! One of my favorite things in the world to see is Taylor and Bentley playing together and the funny little corky things they do for one another and then they just start laughing together and at one another!!! I love it!! Bentley is such a precious little girl with a huge smile that will just melt you!!!
Why do I just love that little girl so much? Just looking at her pictures makes me happy. She is so precious. I especially love those little pictures of her lying in her crib on her tummy. My girls never slept on their tummy's either and it always looked like it would be more comfortable. I also love seeing those long skinny legs. I've never really seen legs so little and long before. She's going to be a little supermodel, or at least have the legs to be one:) Her and Taylor both are going to be such tall and skinny gorgeous girls. I love them both! We miss you guys lots! Let me know when you've got a free day. Our Anniversary is coming up so we'll be out of town for a while, but I'll call when we come back! Hope all is well!!!
