We had such a fun weekend together as a family this past weekend! We decided to pull out the old tent and have a little family camp out in the backyard on Friday night! Jordan got home from work and him and Taylor immediately started setting up our shelter for the evening. I noticed Taylor trying to sneak into the tent after every step Jordan had completed. "No, Tay you gotta wait until we are all done before you can get in...okay?" Taylor would giggle with excitement and say, "Okay, Daddy! Sorry!"
Jord cooked tinfoil dinners that night and they were delicious! For dessert we roasted marshmallows over the grill out back and introduced Taylor once again to the amazing treat called s'mores! Yum! They are seriously one of my favorite treats! We had a blast! After putting Bentley to bed in her own cozy crib (that's right she didn't get to sleep in the tent with us this time), Jord, Tay, Me and Trig prepared for a fun-filled night of camping in our backyard! We hooked up the DVD player and watched The Simpson Movie right there in the tent! It was so fun! It got over around 10:00 pm, which is way past Taylor's bedtime - I guess Bentley didn't miss out much because with a rambunctious 2 1/2 year old that needed to go to sleep and wasn't doing so, we packed up and went back inside for the night. It wasn't exactly how we had planned it out, but it was still a fun little camping trip for us!
Saturday was another fun day for our family! That afternoon we took both girls to the movie theatre and saw The Lion Movie (Chronicles of Narnia). Taylor loves that movie.....especially the lion. Bentley was a pistol and her and I watched almost the entire movie standing on the side of the theatre until she finally decided to fall asleep. The old me would have been frustrated that I didn't get to just sit and relax, but for some reason I was just happy to be there! We laughed and played and made a few trips into the hallway when necessary and basically had a really good time together. After the movie Jordan said that Taylor had fun, but she kept asking where the lion was. I guess he didn't really appear in the movie until the very end. Again, she really likes the lion. All in all, we had such a fun weekend! I LOVE spending time with my amazing family!

Megan, I love to see families do so many fun things together. Even though your girls are little you include them in everything. I love that about you guys. Keep up the good work. Looks like you have lots of great memories already in action for your girls. Enjoy every moment while they are little. You're guys are great parents!
