(NOTE: It's my first time blogging from someplace other than my computer back home in Arizona.)
On Wednesday, the girls and I went on a little adventure and vacation to my hometown - good old Colorado - to visit Grandpa Wally, Grandma Susie and Aunt Paigey. Our flight left Wednesday afternoon and we arrived here in Denver just after 5:00 pm (MST), greeted by smiling faces waiting to see their precious granddaughters. I was really just the delivery person, but that really didn't bother me since I was so thankful to have survived my first flight alone with two small children. The girls both did GREAT and I am already counting my blessings for that! Since the flight wasn't full I was able to take Bentley's car seat on with us and she slept almost the entire time! We had our own row for Taylor to move around and have fun! I'm hoping the journey home will be a success also!
The trip so far has been so much fun and all I can say is it's simply GORGEOUS here! I guess I forgot what an amazing place I grew up in! The girls are having a blast with their Grandma & Grandpa, Aunt Paiegy and Uncle Chester (my parents chocolate lab). It feels good to be in the rocky mountains that's for sure! We have already done so many fun things and we don't head back home until next Tuesday. There is room for so much more! So far we've been able to attend one of my sister's high school soccer games (which we watched from the car because it was too FREEZING), watched fun movies, gone shopping, baked cookies, drank hot chocolate while watching it snow, laughed and laughed some more and of course been in the hot tub several times a day - Taylor absolutely LOVES it! I even made a snow angel! I don't plan on doing that again anytime soon! I'm definitely an Arizona girl now and not made for rolling around in freezing cold snow! It was fun though and worth the memory!
Even though we have already had such a great time here, there is one thing that is missing from making this trip completely perfect! OUR DADDY!
JORDAN - We miss you SO much and wish more than anything that you could be here with us! We hope that you miss us too, but we also hope that you are enjoying yourself and having a great time back home in Arizona while your three girls are away! Just so you know - the girls eyes light up every time we mention your name - except Taylor keeps correcting my mom and dad when they call you "Jordan." She tells them, "No, it's daddy!" With a VERY stern cute little voice I might add! I'm sure you can picture her perfectly with that spunky little attitude that she has! She and Bentley love you SO much and I know that when they get to see you next week after such a long time apart they will be overjoyed! They have the best daddy in the world!
We knew before we left what an important and incredible guy you are in our lives, but being away from you makes us realize it that much more! Thanks for letting us go on this trip - it has been such a nice break! Give Trigger a big hug and kiss from all of us and just know that we love you and can't wait to be with you again!
Lots of Love - Meg, Tay & Beny
P.S. The temperature here is definitely much different from what we left in Phoenix, but we never expected to wake up that first morning to everything covered in a beautiful blanket of white! I was so excited because it's not very often that my girls get to see it snowing! It was SO beautiful! And it was the 1st of May! CRAZY! Here are a few shots of what it was like on Thursday. My parents area ended up getting approx. 7 inches of snow! By the way it was all melted by the end of Friday.
We miss you daddy!

Damn GORGEOUS, you gotta get your sexy butt home!!! I love your hair! Chelsea did a really good job! I miss my girls!!! I am not accustomed to sending my girls off and being home alone, I don't ever want to get accustomed to this life style, to be blunt, it sucks... I miss my BEAUTIFUL GIRLS and all of the excitement and joy they bring just from being around!!! Looks like you are all having a great time, wish I could have come, I am counting down the days til your return!!! I MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU!!! And did I mention how SMOKING HOTTTT YOU ARE!!!! No wonder all the snow melted, as soon as you laid down to make a snow angel and put that smokin bod in the snow, it had no choice but to melt!!! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
Haha Jordan calm down!! jk your wife is SMOKIN'!! Megs your hair is so so so cute!! I love it. It looks so good on you. Gosh it seems like everyone is cutting there hair all cute for the summer and mine is still long!! :( i want to cut it so bad but can't tried to hard to get it long. But you look absolutely GORGEOUS!! And your girls are still cuter than ever~! I was a little jealous of the hot tubing in the snow thought not gonna lie! Okay, I've been on this comment page for like 5 minutes now but haven't been able to type because I am in hysterics over Jordans comment. He is so cute to you! That is something that Beau would totally say:) Hilarious, but SO CUTE! Bet that made your day! He's right though! You look SO pretty with your new hair. I LOVE IT!!! I think I like you blonde the best. I'm kind of partial to that though:) Anyways, I'm so glad you did a post from Colorado. You'll remember this experience forever. What a fun trip it sounds like you're having. And snow!?! Holy Cow! Sounds like Utah right now. My family can't wait to come down on Tuesday for Beau's graduation to get out of the snow! Anyways, I'm glad you're having a fabulous time with your family! I'm sure Jordan's going crazy without you. I'm surprised that him and Beau have only managed to go golfing once since you left, although the trips not over yet:) Have fun. Miss you guys!!!
Easy there big Tiger! Maybe we oughtta go golfing a few more times before you go nuts! I mean... crazy! - Beau
Ohhh- I love this post! I miss Colorado!! It is really the most beautiful place- if I could convince Byron to move there I would do it in a second! I love all the snow (just to look at- not to play in)- and all the houses and neighborhoods are so perfect. It almost makes me hate AZ! AND King Soopers- so Colorado! Needless to say I am soooooooo Jealous! And your hair is gorgeous-I love Jordans comment- that was so sweet :) I think you need to get home quick! If I were you I would just move up there though.
Megan, I love love love your hair! I have been wanting to chop mine of for the past month... I keep going back and forth. If Kenney had the same reaction as Jordan, I would do it in a second! (Kenney protests the idea of me cutting my hair, he threatens to move out!)
Megan - Love the hair! Tell Jordan to take a cold shower! We will be in town for June, July and half of August. We need togeher. Have fun in the cold!
